What the parent did
His mother explained that his dislike of screens grew out of migraines he had as a young child, and the family helped set up an LLC and complete the county approval needed for him to sell at the farmers market.
A 9-year-old boy in Loomis grew a small school gardening project into a vegetable-selling business, harvesting and selling produce at the local farmers market instead of spending time on screens.

You don't need a whole business to get the idea across. Give your kid a $5 budget at the farmers market this weekend, let them pick everything, and cook dinner together with what they bring home.
