What the parent did

His mother Valerie had the egg stand idea first, but she made the deal explicit before anything got built: if you want the fruits of the labor, you have to do the labor. Then she stepped back.

Braxton raises a flock of laying hens and runs the egg stand he sells them from, doing the feeding, watering and mucking out every day before anyone buys a carton.
